Professional Biography

Dr. Cunningham, a licensed psychologist, earned his doctorate in clinical 

psychology in 1984 from the University of North Texas.  He completed his 

internship at the American Lake Veteran's Medical Center in Tacoma, 

Washington.  He maintains active memberships in the American Psychological 

Association and the National Register of Psychologists.  



Recognized as a national health service provider in psychology, he 

specializes in the treatment of Affective Disorders such as the management 

of depression, anxiety and anger.  Additionally, he has extensive training 

in Chronic Pain Management, Stress Management and the management of Vietnam 

Stress Syndrome. He consults extensively in the areas of Substance Abuse and

Chemical Dependency as well as Co-dependency.  



As a member of numerous preferred provider organizations, he is comfortable 

using a problem focused, brief therapy format.  Additionally, Dr. Cunningham 

routinely provides evaluations for child custody, personal competency, 

workers compensation and personal injury disability and other legal issues.  

He provides court testimony on these matters when needed.  Dr. Cunningham's 

practice includes individual, family, marital and group therapy.
