Professional Biography

Dr. Franklin has been a licensed psychologist since 1987. Dr. Franklin completed her internship at the 
Adolescent Unit at Rusk State Hospital.   She has worked in private practice in Nacogdoches for almost 
20 years where she served as school consultant for the Lufkin, Nacogdoches and Henderson ISD.  Dr. Franklin 
worked with Women’s Shelter, Child Protective Services, and performed court ordered evaluations for custody 
cases.  Her work has been largely with children, adolescents and dysfunctional families.

She was previously a  member of American Psychological Association, Texas Psychological Association and 
Southwestern Psychological Association.  She has made presentations, inservice  workshops  and community 
speaking engagements.
